"Trikuta Nagar becomes safe heaven for goons"

JAMMU, July 29: Tired and sick of the prevailing system in the state, people and especially women have switched over to Facebook, the social networking site for giving went to their feelings. The buck does not stop here but the women folk have also started using the walls of this very popular networking website to lodge their protests and complaints against social evils.
The Technology savvy women have started using this social networking site to give went to their feelings and lodge their protests, complaints and even displeasures on different issues. According to a post published on the wall of social networking website Facebook, a women has complained of eve teasing by local boys of Trikuta Nagar. She has made an attempt to highlight evils of the society.
Experts believe that sick of the system the woman must have preferred to use modern communication system to lodge her protest. This is for the first time in Jammu that people have started giving went to their feelings and anger through websites. Earlier also many issues had generated debates on the facebook, but this is for the first time that any woman has dared to come forward and pen down her feelings on the wall of her profile.
She has not only brought on the foreground the law and order situation prevailing in posh Trikuta Nagar area but also set a precedence for others to follow. The Facebook has become a medium to socialise but this woman from Jammu and who is an associate professor in Jammu University, as per her profile, has come forward in giving people a picture of her locality through social networking site.
The woman, whose identity is being kept secret for privacy reasons, in her post has publiched,"Boys really seem to have nothing to do especially in Trikuta Nagar. They are now after maids who have to work at odd hours. Two of our maids have been teased by these "Shohde Ladke" (Flamboyants). They come in cars or bikes and try to catch these innocents in their unawares.....What perverted thinking.. Are our daughters, mothers, sisters safe in Jammu.....Who is to be Questioned?/?"
The issue also generated a little debate on Facebook itself. While many suggested reporting to the cops, others preferred to stay calm accusing police of being hand in glove with these anti-social elements. The friends of lady on the facebook have also come out with other means to check such activities suggesting her to reply those goons hardly in same coin. "I think women should take out an awareness rally and unite to teach lesson to such goons...take an initiative...rest will follow you...." was another post on her wall.
