Girl washed away in flash floods

Kathua: A teenaged girl was washed away when she along with another friend was caught in flash floods in Basohli area of Kathua district, officials said here.
Two teenaged girls, who were crossing a stream in Basohli, about 200-kms from Jammu, in Kathua district, were suddenly trapped in the flash floods last evening, they said.
While one managed to swim to safety, another got washed away and drowned, they said, adding the body of the deceased, identified as 18-year-old Rekha Rani, was later fished out late in the evening by villagers with the help of police.
