About Us

Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed a state of turmoil for the past two decades. However continues efforts have been made by the various governments to slightly inch towards reaching a permanent solution to the so called “problem” - “disputed territory” etc. and have simultaneously failed to arrive at any consensus.

This has left the people of state in a deprived condition, not just in terms of facilities but in terms of growth and development. We personally believe that the most critical effected area after the loss of human faith in the total shape, system and setup of democracy are the expanding regional gaps in the state.

Life as we all know has not been too pleasant in the state for some years now and new generations are becoming a victim of the present state of affairs. Although life has not stopped entirely in and around the state, the sun still shows up every morning and gets complemented by the clouds in the sky, flowers still provide picturesque view of the heaven but yes people have become more or less terrorism prone. They have stopped enjoying all these metaphorical experiences which is and has been the essence of the state.

Foundation of Alternative News Network and Kashmir Images has been a deliberate effort to highlight and project issues and matters of public interest. The team of ANN firmly believes that there is a grave need of the hour to give people of this state some solace from the ongoing mayhem.

Alternative News Network and Kashmir Images is here to provide an open platform to all the sections of the societies to come forward in augmenting the process of peace and at the same time reflect their problems. With the help of this medium we wish to involve maximum number of people in the process and highlight what an ordinary citizen of this state expects and desires.

ANN will also timely get involved in projects of social change and other forms of media projects to reach out to public at large and will work exuberantly in minimizing the prevailing regional gaps in the state.

To mark the beginning of this journey ANN has undertaken two novel projects which will be unfolded to you consequently!
